Snow hidden murder

[Magpie Tales #44]

The snow falls
freezing you to
my heart

I become numb
at long last

The cold you
have mastered
enraptures me
with it's icy grasp

There you lay
in a bed of white
still, quiet, naked
preserved dead

And I
just slide away
as the snow falls

  10. I like the lines /still. quiet, naked/
preserved dead/ for it opens the
    door to other symbols and
    interpretations. Interesting and
very chilling take on a movie
    sled and moody poem from
Willow. I thought I was out there
with my mag about the now,
today, late fall, the day John
    Lennon died--but you are
    arctic leagues beyond me
    in some white wildnerness
    of wild poetics, Good job.

  15. Very eerie. Reminds me (in a good way) a bit of that song by The Todies, Possum Kingdom.

  17. The cold has a seductive quality even as it freezes you--they say the pleasantest way to die is to freeze to death, but like you, I'd just as soon slide away.
