Tattling

my wallet
holds no monies

only stamps for
letters unwritten
a calling card
for antiquities
in a tiny
Texas town
a painting in
miniature
Taking Flight
to remind me
to soar
and tattered bits
of faded poems

in death
it tells
my story well

  3. Sad and haunting mood to this. Our possessions reveal who we are, for sure. Those in the poem say a lot about you. I like to look at people's bookshelves, myself...so many people don't even own books any more though...I guess you have to hack their computers or their kindles or something...

  4. I've never considered the poetry that ones wallet can create - nicely done.

  5. Lovely in it's simplicity. Indeed our wallet tells much about ourselves. Mine says I like coffee..a lot
